When the sun goes down in African villages there is no light except a cooking fire. The huts are dark. They are even dark in the daytime.
Some children in some of these villages have access to school however they cannot study after they get all their chores done because it is dark.
Village Care Project has teamed up with sponsors to purchase bulk solar lanterns. These LED Solar Inflatable Lanterns are bright, solar powered lanterns with 75 lumens of LED light. Multiple brightness settings make it a perfect indoor or outdoor light. No batteries, rechargeable with sunlight. Lightweight, inflatable, collapsible, waterproof (IP67), shatterproof, and dustproof. Completely safe for children.
Can you help an African family obtain a solar lantern for their hut? $30 for one solar LED lantern
It takes a village to help a village!

Our Staff is entirely volunteer, including the president and Board members.
We are humanitarians. VCP attempts to be nonpolitical, non-discriminatory, secular and not biased for or against any group or type of person based on gender, religion, race, age, creed, color, politics, sexuality, or ethnicity.
We are not going with any intent to change these village people or their culture.
Our project however may have some restrictions based on the limitations and capabilities of our local vendors in the country we are serving.
VCP seeks to fight poverty by "helping villagers help themselves" to a better quality of living and improved health while preserving their unique culture.
